Pastor Olukayode A. Pitan

Spiritual Background
Pastor Pitan gave his life to Jesus Christ at the Christ Chapel International Churches Surulere in December 1986 and has not looked back then. He was a member of the Deeper Life Ministries for about two years before he settled in New Estate Baptist Church in Surulere, a season he refers to fondly in his sermons and exhortations.
He was a pioneer student of RCCG – International Bible Institute and Leadership Training School in 1995 and formally joined the Redeemed Christian Church of God in March 1996. Pastor Pitan became the Pastor in charge of Olive Tree in Ikoyi in November 1996 when the pioneer pastor, (late Pastor Alfred Olufeyinmi) passed on in the ill-fated ADC plane crash. Under his leadership, the membership of Olive Tree parish grew from 50 to 1000. The parish was able to purchase land and build the imposing House of Prayer for all Nations at Banana Island Road in Ikoyi. He was also the pastor in charge of the International Bible Institute and Leadership Training School from 1996 until October 2010. He was very active in church planting and Olive Tree Parish was able to plant and collaborate with other parishes to plant 20 parishes in Lagos, Calabar, Owerri, Ireland, and in South Africa.
In October 2010, Pastor Pitan was promoted to Assistant Pastor in Charge of Lagos Province 35 and transferred to Tabernacle of David, Ajah.
Pastor Pitan and Pastor (Mrs.) Olorunfemi Pitan resumed at RCCG Tabernacle of David in Ajah on October 17, 2010. The church was in crisis as the pioneer pastor, Pastor Femi Monehin had resigned from the mission. Through the grace of God and the calling upon their lives, Pastors Kayode and Femi Pitan took up the mantle of leading a community of people of faith. Through prayers, teaching undiluted Word of God, commitment, Tabernacle of David has become a beacon of the light of God in Ajah and environs. Physical projects were undertaken, completed and dedicated to the glory of God.
On the1st of September 2014, Pastor Pitan was promoted to the position of the Pastor in charge of the newly created Lagos Province 46 and RCCG Tabernacle of David (TOD) became the Province headquarters.
On September 1st 2017, he was promoted to the position of Assistant Pastor-In-Charge of Region 20. Under the leadership of Pastor Kayode Pitan, TOD grew numerically from about 800 members in 2010 to a membership of over 6000 with physical attendance in the two Sunday services of about 4000 congregants. TOD has planted sister churches internationally in Ghana, Burundi, Uganda, Bulgaria and in Calgary, Canada.
On September 1, 2023, he was promoted to the position of Regional Pastor, Region 51, with headquarters at RCCG, Tabernacle of David, Lagos.
On September 1, 2024, he was transferred to RCCG, City of David as Regional Pastor of Region 20/ Head of the Apapa family.
Pastor Pitan is passionate about Corporate Social Responsibility and has established several schemes to help members of the church in the areas of education, health and empowerment.
Pastor Pitan is an alumnus of the Haggai Institute, Singapore. He is currently the chairman, Habitation of Hope – An NGO set up by Pastor (Mrs) Folu Adeboye to salvage, transform and empower abandoned, hopeless and homeless street boys and girls in our society.
He currently serves as the Chairman, Board of trustees of The Redeemers University, Ede, Osun State and of The Masters Foundation of the RCCG.

Career Background
Mr Olukayode Pitan served as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Bank of Industry Ltd, Nigeria’s oldest and largest development finance institution between May 2017 and October 2023. His experience cuts across various financial services sectors including banking and capital markets, during his over 30-year career.
As an astute corporate and investment banker, he was the pioneer Managing Director of ENSEC which at that time was the flagship specialized Banking unit of FSB Int’l Bank Plc focusing on the Energy Sector in Nigeria.
He graduated with a B.Sc. (Hons) Degree in Economics as a UAC scholar from the University of Ibadan in 1982 and obtained a Master's Degree in International Management as a Rotary International Scholar from the American Graduate School of International Management, Thunderbird Campus at Glendale, Arizona.
He is a Fellow of several prestigious organisations including the following: Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (FCIB), Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers (FCS), Institute of Credit Administration of Nigeria (FICA), Nigeria Economic Society (FNES) and a member of the Institute of Directors of Nigeria (MIoD). He is also an alumnus of the Lagos Business School; the London Business School; the Haggai Institute, Singapore; and the Galilee International Management Institute, Israel. He is also a merit award recipient of Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN).
Mr Pitan began his career with Citibank Nigeria in 1986. Prior to joining BOI Ltd, Mr. Pitan was the MD/CEO of Caroline Properties Ltd and Director of Excel E&P Ltd.
Previously, Mr. Pitan held the position of Executive Director of Unity Bank Plc in charge of Corporate Banking and Treasury Management after having served as the MD/CEO at First Interstate Bank Plc in August 2004, where he successfully led the Bank through a merger with eight other lending institutions to form Unity Bank Plc.
Under Pitan’s leadership, BOI consistently delivered on its mandate to transform Nigeria’s industrial sector by providing long-term financing and counter-cyclical loans diversified across industries such as agro-processing, gender businesses and renewable energy among others. The Bank of Industry also supported the establishment of several ICT and Innovation hubs to promote and harness the entrepreneurial and innovative skills of our teaming youth population across the country.
  • To expand its capital-base to meet the needs of its customers, and contribute to economic growth of the Nigeria, Pitan led BOI’s successful foray into the international market and raised about $5bn through syndications and bond. These included debut €750mn Senior Eurobond (the first by any African national DFI) in February 2022.  
  • Investor confidence in BOI is reflected in BOI’s balance-sheet which increased significantly during Pitan’s tenure. This has grown in leaps and bounds from N713billion in 2017 to over N3.0 trillion as at Q3, 2023.

  • Former Chairman of the Technical Committee that merged Kapital Insurance Plc, lntercontinental Assurance Company Ltd and Global Commerce and General Assurance Co Ltd into UnityKapital lnsurance Co Plc and also served as Director of the new entity.
  • Former Technical Chairman that brokered the formation of FUG Pensions Ltd, consolidating the interests of Futureview Financial Services Ltd, Unity Bank Plc and Glanvill Enthoven & Co Ltd to form a viable and significant player in the Pensions management industry, subsequently holding the position of Chairman of FUG Pensions Ltd.

PASTOR FEMI PITAN


Femi Pitan is an ordained Pastor of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, and the wife of Pastor Kayode Pitan, the Head of Apapa Family; and Pastor in Charge of Region 20 and the City of David.
Over the years, Pastor Femi has made positive impact through various Christian programs, including the Women of Destiny and Wonderful Women Programs. She is often mentioned for her work in pioneering the Angelology Course, which was integrated into the curriculum of Redeemed Christian Bible Colleges. She subsequently taught the Angelology Course, for several years, at the Redeemers International Leadership Academy (RILA). She is popularly known for “Healing Streams with Femi Pitan” which holds virtually, every Saturday, on Facebook, Instagram and YouTube.
Dr Femi Pitan worked with Chevron Corporation for 21 years. She collaboratively developed complex cross-functional Health Strategies and Governance for Europe, Africa, North America, and Asia Pacific. As Head of Occupational Health and Public Health for Nigeria Mid-Africa Strategic Business Unit, she was the initiator and programmatic director of innovative award-winning Chevron workplace programs.
Femi is a Consultant Pediatrician; Public Health Physician; and Occupational Health Physician. She holds a Master of Science in Community Paediatrics from University College London; Master of Public Health from University of Lagos; and Master of Global Business Administration from Thunderbird School of Global Management in Arizona, U.S.
Dr Pitan is a Fellow of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health, United Kingdom; and the Royal Society for Public Health U.K. She is also a Fellow of the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria, and is licensed to practice Paediatrics in Nigeria and the U.K.
She is a certified Senior Human Resource (HR) Professional and holds certificates in Digital Transformation and HR Transformation from Harvard Medical School, University of Cambridge and Cornell University.
Femi has co-authored 7 systematic review publications on Rotavirus Vaccine in Children, under the Cochrane Infectious Diseases Group U.K. The Cochrane Database of systematic reviews is the gold standard for research, and provides resources for over 50,000 health care professionals worldwide, with a multiplier effect to millions of children across the globe.
Dr Pitan is a Director on a number of boards, including the Nigerian Higher Education Foundation (NHEF). Headquartered in New York City, NHEF was created by the MacArthur Foundation in 2004 to enhance the capacity of higher education institutions in Nigeria. Femi holds the Certificate in Company Direction from the Institute of Directors U.K.
Under the auspices of TBRA (The Boardroom Africa) and WIMBIZ (Women in Management, Business and Public Service), Femi mentors women aspiring to leadership and board director positions. Femi’s passion for children and giving back to society led her to found the Life Source Child Development Foundation – The Orphanage, a non-profit organization, caring for orphans and vulnerable children.
