More Than a Charity Shop – A Place for Everyone
At It’s New to Me, we believe that quality shopping should be accessible to all, regardless of background or financial status. Whether you’re looking for stylish fashion, household essentials, or a way to make a difference, our charity shop provides affordable, high-quality items while supporting impactful community projects.
Who We Are
It’s New to Me is a Christian Social Responsibility (CSR) Initiative of RCCG City of David. Founded in 2009, our social enterprise has evolved into a movement that promotes sustainable shopping, community support, and social impact. With four outlets across Lagos, we’ve served over 500,000 people and continue to create positive change through our outreach programs.

We stock new and pre-loved items, donated by generous individuals and businesses, at discounted/low prices:
Clothing for men, women, and children
Shoes, bags, and accessories
Home essentials and furniture
 Electronics and gadgets
 Unique finds and vintage treasures

Our needs

To achieve the goals, we will need your support in donation of items to our shops.
In addition to cash we ask for those aforementioned items that you’ve had kept for over a year
unused / untouched, in your houses/ wardrobes/ stores. Let us convert then to cash to save and
impact lives.
It’s our surest conviction that together we would collectively proffer solutions to the social
challenges lurking in our communities.
We receive Donations in materials and cash.

Some years ago I lost my husband and ever since then things have been tough. To eat was tough
not to talk of buying clothes to wear.
I couldn’t go to places I used to go because I couldn’t fit into the circle of friends anymore for
lack of what to wear.
But when I heard of ITS NEW TO ME CHARITY SHOP my story changed. I came and bought
beautiful clothes, shoes , bags at very affordable prices and I have been happy ever since.

When I was about to deliver my baby, I did all the shopping for my new born baby at ITS NEW TO
ME, I even got things for the older children.
It’s new to me charity shop makes our dream of wearing what we cannot afford but love to wear
come true.

Impact thus far

  • 3.5 million donations for kidney dialysis scheme support .
  • Four outlets of It’s new to me at locations around Lagos where we cater for the needs of the less privileged .
  • Fees, books and clothing communities support .
  • Monetary Support to charitable works.
  • Standard library built and furnished for Hope center school Makoko.
  • Offered clothing support at outreaches and crusades, such as the City of David Social Actions Under the Bridge Outreach and His Love in Action Outreaches.
