About a-men

The “A-MEN” is the men’s fellowship of the City of David (a parish of the Redeemed Christian Church of God). Since its inception, its focus has been in providing support for the development of well-rounded men who understand and joyfully accept their role in building and sustaining a functional society starting from the family unit.

To this end, the “A-MEN” fellowship of COD RCCG is currently built around four (4) distinct pillars – Family, Faith, Finance, and Health. While each of these four pillars supports the man, the combination of all four in appreciable measure supports the development of a wholesome man who is physically, emotionally and mentally healthy; is able to sufficiently meet the necessary financial and material needs of his family, and provides the needed spiritual leadership for his family such that his family knows, reverences and trusts God.
For each of the Pillars, programs are currently being created to drive the key learning points for participants (COD Men and others). These programs will be hosted throughout the year.

COD A-men pillars

Finance

This is the Pillar that seeks to promote Financial Literacy and Empowerment for COD MEN. The overarching goal for this Pillar is to empower COD Men with the knowledge and platforms that will enable them to become financially stable.

Programs under this Pillar will include, but not limited, to periodic activities to drive financial literacy, entrepreneurship, investment opportunities, and mentorship focused on managing personal finances, etc.

Family

Recognizing that the family plays a critical role in raising responsible and functional children, as well as in building decent societies, the Family Pillar is being set up to enable parents (particularly COD MEN) to more easily identify the common triggers of problems within a family too, and adequately respond to such triggers. This Pillar will also train COD MEN on the best approaches to partner with their wives in raising Godly children that will become role models, themselves.

Faith

The Faith Pillar is currently being designed to (1) Lay the foundation for COD MEN to continually experience Spiritual growth through intentional personal study of the Word of God and increased intimacy with God. (2) Sufficiently empower COD MEN to successfully lead their families to serve God in truth and in spirit and build up the faith of their children according to Proverbs 22:6.

The health Pillar seeks to enhance the emotional, physical, mental, and psychological well-being of COD MEN through its programs
